A Complete Simulation Center Turnkey Solution!
Planning and design of turnkey solutions. With its multidisciplinary team, Level 3 Healthcare covers the entire range of services, from conception and construction, all the way to supporting ongoing operations. We offer professional support in the functional and technical planning of your simulation center, install and assemble appropriate hardware and implement suitable software. After successfully launching, we provide training and ongoing services, which also include regular comprehensive software upgrades.
Every simulation room comes with several HD network cameras (1080p), microphones and a speaker system (Voice-of-God). PTZ dome cameras, stationary cameras or mobile cameras, wireless cameras are available for situations where it is needed. SIMStation is compatible with all models of AXIS, the market-leader in network cameras.
Every control room comes with a compact server-case, in which the essential wireless and AV technology is housed. The SIMStation recording software is operated via one or more extensive touchscreens. With a conference microphone it is possible to talk to other instructors or to the simulation rooms.
Every debriefing or live observation room is equipped with SIMStation debriefing software. Via the player’s HDMI output, both small meeting rooms and large auditoriums can host recordings, on TV panels or projectors respectively. Video debriefings and live transmissions are controlled via the SIMStation Tablet.
A Modular Solution That’s Highly Scalable!
Any number of simulation training, control and debriefing rooms can be linked to SIMNet by connecting the components via conventional network cables or Wi-Fi. The installation work required is therefore minimal. Newly connected components such as cameras, tablets or network storage are automatically detected and integrated into the SIMNet. The SIMStation Tablets are not bound to specific rooms, but can instead be used by the instructor in every room. The network-based architecture also makes it possible to connect multiple centers – or make simulations accessible – over the internet.
The modular concept behind SIMStation’s product range makes it the ideal choice for all simulation centers wishing to expand their facilities, premises and capacity over the years. It is possible to start out with a basic configuration and later expand the system step by step through the addition of further components. In contrast to conventional, centralized and server-based systems, which from the outset must be set up with any potential future upgrades to maximum capacity already in mind. SIMStation is a modern, modular concept system that can automatically add devices and expand the systems capacity with each component added all through the virtual cloud “SIMNet” app.
The SIMStation Control Room Software is the control center of the SIMStation system. At the same time, it’s incredibly easy to operate: simply by clicking, or touching on the clearly-marked buttons, you can start and stop the recording. The cameras’ video signals are transmitted and recorded in full HD quality, with near zero latency (<.05ms). PTZ cameras can be easily controlled directly through the software, and every connected microphone can be switched on and off directly from the touchscreen. Using preconfigured icons, which can be modified in the included icon editor, you are able to mark and annotate important events during the training in a uniquely straightforward manner.
The SIMStation Tablet, linked via Wi-Fi, is the instructor’s universally applicable “personal assistant”. It can of course be used during training to set markers and annotations, but what really makes it special is how it facilitates a whole new dimension of quality and efficiency in video-supported debriefing. The instructor does not need to operate any other computers to bring up the videos; they simply use the tablet in their hands, upon which all markers and annotations have been clearly and logically listed during the recording. One click on a marker is all it takes to start playing back the appropriate scene on a TV panel or projector. PDF, PowerPoint and learning videos can also be seamlessly called up via the tablet and integrated into the debriefing.
